Tips For Buying Vintage Patterns
One of the most important things to remember is never buy a vintage sewing
pattern according to it's size number. Over time, clothing companies have made the clothes bigger and the size numbers smaller.
The best idea is to buy the size of pattern that will fit in the most difficult to fit area. This is usually the size that corresponds to bust measurement.
There is a difference between how clothes are worn today as compared to how vintage clothing was worn. Most ladies today don't wear the foundation garments such as girdles or bras that give the perfect conical shape like in the 1950's or 60's.
Patterns from that era are fitted for ladies wearing those garments.
It is recommended to know your body measurements with and without foundation garments. Bust measurements can change with bra styles so it is important to know what will be worn underneath the finished vintage garment.

Your vintage pattern will be shipped within 2-4 business days.
We truly value our international customers. We ship our vintage patterns all over the globe. We are proud to offer FREE worldwide shipping. The only exception to our Free shipping applies to the Stretch & Sew patterns. We charge a nominal fee when shipping Stretch & Sew patterns. The envelopes for the Stretch & Sew vintage patterns are much larger so they cost us more to ship. That is Canada Post's rule and not ours. Please be sure when checking out to choose the correct shipping charge for the pattern or patterns that you have purchased.
Please be aware worldwide shipping may take 2-3 weeks for delivery. This is often due to customs clearance times and not something that we can control.

We are unable to accept returns for vintage patterns. All sales are final.
A NOTE REGARDING PATTERN CONDITION:
Please remember that the sewing patterns on this site are old patterns. We have no idea what conditions the patterns were exposed to before coming into our possession. The envelopes may have wear including tears, rips, small marks, discoloration etc. The pieces may have small rips, old tape on them, missing pieces, etc. If the pattern is badly damaged or has any missing pieces that information will be noted in the pattern description included with each pattern in our catalogue.
Every vintage clothing pattern on vintagestitching.com has been checked to ensure that it is complete. Several of our clothing patterns have not been used and are still factory folded. Most of the clothing patterns you will find here have the instruction sheets included. If there are any missing pieces that information will be included on the pattern description in our catalogue.
